"Every 'BIG' success is made up of many 'small' successes"
by Johan Campbell
Often we will look at what we are trying to achieve but we feel that it is just too big, just too much to do, and that we just can't do it, I mean I am only one person, I can't do everything, and there is still so much to do.
Never worry about how far you still have to go, always congratulate yourself on how far you have come, reaffirm the value of your goals and concentrate on the next step of the journey. All journeys are the same, they can only be completed one step at a time. The destinations may be different but the process never changes.
You must persevere, so often we give up just before the finish line. We become discouraged and lose faith in the possibility of achievement. We stop believing in the value of the attempt. You must believe that your goal is not only achievable, but is worth the effort that you are making and still have to make. Without this faith you cannot succeed. Just as vitamins strengthen your body so faith strengthens your life for where there is faith in the future, there is power in the present.
Most things that you believe are impossible, are impossible merely because you believe them to be impossible. Because you believe them to be impossible, you don't even attempt, or at best you make a half hearted attempt, to do them.
Often we look at what other people have achieved and then we want to do the same, but we want to start where they are now, we don't want to start where they started, at the beginning. We then try to do what they are doing without the preparation that would ensure our success and are then disillusioned when we do not succeed.
Do you realise that the largest fire can start with the smallest spark, but the spark must be there. A glass can fill up with drops of water, but the water must keep dripping.
Just as you complete a safe journey by constantly carrying out correct actions while you drive, so you achieve success by constantly and consistently performing correct actions, doing what is necessary to ensure that you achieve your goals. Realise that every time that you do something right, no matter how minor it may seem, it is a success, and that you can, and should, acknowledge it and then build on it. If you can do it once then you can do it again.
Just as a house is built one brick at a time, so your life is lived one action after another. So your "big" success is ensured, one "little" success after another. You just have to believe that you can do it secure in the knowledge that "Every 'BIG' success is made up of many 'small' successes"
