Many people have either heard about or read about the importance of goal setting. But not many people have had the opportunity to have someone actually teach you what to do. The only thing I understood about goal setting was to simple "set goals to become successful."
I would think about what I wanted to accomplish and that would be the extent of it.
Goal setting is more than that. It is a road map that can direct your travels in the correct path for you to reach a successful destination. I have learned, through a proven system, that goals need to written down with a plan and a date for accomplishment. Contrary to prior belief, if your goal is not achieved when planned, it doesn't mean that you have been unsuccessful. It merely means that you need to adjust and develop a new plan of action.
With the help of a proven system and the encouragement of Fred Harteis and other team associates, I have learned the true value of setting goals and a more realistic approach to achieving what I want to accomplish.
