FRED:

Until you dislike where you are, you are not going anywhere else.

Leaders overcome the obstacles

Leaders don't share the problems

Leaders read everyday

You need to have a game plan each month, not just sharing the plan.

Make a decision what you're doing in the next 30 days.

Your attitude attracts or it repels

Your group knows your attitude

You have to have your attitude right to help others get their attitude right

You need to be accountable to Fred, with your goal sheet

If you don't delegate you're only to grow nubs

Visualize what you want

Use your subconcious mind

WHAT LEADERS MUST DO

When General Electric CEO Jeff Immelt speaks to aspiring leaders at the company's management development center, his message is straightforward, yet profound. Immelt, who replaced the legendary Jack Welch as head of one of the world's most powerful corporations, simply explains the 10 activities he believes are essential for good leadership—a list he calls "Things Leaders Do."

He recently shared this list with Fast Company's editor-in-chief, John A. Byrne. Here are a few highlights.

  • Simplify constantly.
"Every leader needs to clearly explain the top three things the organization is working on," Immelt says. "If you can't, then you're not leading well."
  • Stay true to your own style.
"Leadership is an intense journey into yourself," he says. "You can use your own style to get anything done. It's about being self-aware. Every morning, I look in the mirror and say, 'I could have done three things better yesterday.'"
  • Leave a few things unsaid.
"I may know an answer, but I'll often let the team find its own way," Immelt explains. "Sometimes, being an active listener is much more effective than ending a meeting with me enumerating 17 actions."
  • Stay disciplined and detailed.
"Good leaders are never afraid to intervene personally on things that are important," he says.

    NATUROPATHS AND ORGANICS

    By: C. Edgar Sheaffer, VMD

In my holistic veterinary consulting profession, I have the honor of being associated with a number of naturopathic physicians. Their philosophy of practice is built on the principles beginning with that of the healing power of nature, i.e. there is an inherent ability of the body to heal itself.  It is the role of the naturopathic physician to facilitate and enhance the self-healing process and to identify and remove obstacles to healing and recovery.

All naturopaths discuss dietary habits with their patients.  Eating should be a time of healing and health.

Foods to eat should include organic vegetables and fruits, organic grains, foods made with spouted organic grains and pure, filtered water.

Supplements Based on Whole-Foods  Carl Rehnborg recognized that plants have the remarkable ability to turn inorganic matter—soil, sunlight, water and air—into organic matter (new plant cells). Animals and man cannot do this. The sustenance our bodies require to perform basic living functions must come either from plants or from other animals that eat plants. To put it in perspective, plants can exist without us, but we cannot exist without plants. Knowing that plants serve as the foundation for our food chain, it is only natural that NUTRILITE TM supplements should also be based on whole-plant foods.

Phytonutrients—the Ultimate Source of Nutrition  Today, we know that whole-plant foods offer a wide range of advantages. We also know why these foods are so essential for optimal health. The answer can be summed up in a single word: phytonutrients. Fresh, whole plants are literally teeming with these natural compounds. A single tomato, for example, may contain thousands of different phytonutrients. And while the vast majority of them have yet to be identified, researchers do know that many phytonutrients offer important health benefits. Needless to say, researchers who support NUTRILITE products spend a great deal of time identifying and quantifying phytonutrients, with the goal of finding and concentrating nature’s most beneficial compounds.
