Edification is the art of giving respect and, in turn, getting it. Edification is important, especially to new Business Owners, because it lets them “borrow” the credibility of the more established leaders. Diamond Business Owner Brett Deimler is an expert in showing appreciation and giving credibility to his mentor Fred Harteis, and teaching other leaders how to follow his example. Robert Kyosaki is a best selling author and has spoken for Dexter Yagers organization and Biznet Productions numerous times.

“In Rich Dad, Poor Dad I talk about six basic lessons that my rich dad taught me relative to the subject of money,” says Kiyosaki. “The first and possibly most important lesson he taught me was to mind my own business. There are numerous reasons why people don’t build their own businesses or look for and build networks. From a young age, children are encouraged by their parents and teachers to go to school and get good grades so they can get a nice secure job with good benefits when they graduate. Another reason is fear of the unknown—building a network requires you to step out of your comfort zone, and for some, the alternative of a weekly paycheck is more attractive than practicing delayed gratification for potential huge returns a few years down the road. Finally, most people never receive a proper education regarding wealth accumulation, and they simply don’t know that developing business systems is how the wealthy became wealthy. They don’t understand that the only financial future they’re helping to secure by working on their job is the owner of the company’s. The most important thing for us to do is to start teaching people to think like business owners and not employees.”

Author and pastor Andy Stanley defines “visioneering” as the engineering of a vision—the process followed to bring to fruition the vision that God has ordained within you. It’s the process Dexter Yager used to busled his business, and it’s a process anyone can use to make their dreams become real-life successes.

“In order to accomplish great things,” writes Stanley, “you may have to sacrifice some good things.” Things like watching TV or playing softball may currently be good things in your life, but you may have to sacrifice them temporarily for a much greater reward. Andy Stanley uses the analogy of filling bags with dirt in order to build a dam to save a city. “There’s nothing glamorous about filling bags with dirt,” he says, “but saving a city is another thing altogether. Building a dike gives meaning to the chore of filling bags with dirt. And so it is with vision.”

And like Dexter Yager says, “Success is simply a vision and a decision.”  

 

For a man who talks so much about dreams, Dexter Yager sure doesn’t do a lot of sleeping. "Livings are made from 9:00 to 5:00," says the 55 FAA Point Founders Crown Ambassador, "but fortunes are made after that." He goes on to say, "Everyone has 24 hours in a day. It’s what they do with those 24 hours that makes them successful."

The "all-nighter" is a "rule of the road" for successful entrepreneurs. Inventor Thomas Edison reportedly slept just three to four hours a night. Entrepreneur and home décor guru Martha Stewart gets by on four or five hours a night, and Jeff Taylor, founder and CEO of the online career center Monster.com, is known to sleep as little as two hours a night.

When you’re up late, driving home from a long-distance meeting or coaching with your Support Team well into the morning, remember—the leaders, including Dexter Yager, know where you’ve been!
